Terms of Service

These Terms govern your purchase and use of AutoTranslatorEN, a Discord translation bot and related website service.

1. Who may purchase

You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to purchase the service for the selected Discord server. Billing controls are restricted to the Discord server owner identified through Discord.

2. The service

AutoTranslatorEN detects eligible non-English messages in a configured Discord channel, translates cleaned message text into English and posts the translated version. Messages detected as English are normally left unchanged.

Translation quality can vary. You must not rely on a translation for medical, legal, financial, emergency or other high-risk decisions.

3. Discord server responsibilities

The purchasing server owner is responsible for:

• installing the bot only in a server they own;
• configuring the correct translation channel;
• informing server members that eligible messages may be processed and translated;
• using role, opt-in and filtering controls appropriately;
• ensuring use of the bot complies with Discord's rules and applicable law.

4. Monthly subscription

The monthly plan costs $5.99 USD per month and renews automatically through Stripe until cancelled.

Each successful monthly payment adds 200,000 translation characters to the selected Discord server.

The amount displayed at Stripe Checkout is the amount charged by AutoTranslatorEN. Your bank or card issuer may apply currency-conversion or other charges.

5. Character balance and rollover

Character usage is normally based on the length of the cleaned original message submitted for translation. Messages blocked before translation do not use characters.

Characters may be returned automatically when a translation or message relay fails in a way detected by the service.

Unused characters roll over while recorded against the same Discord server. They:

• have no cash value;
• cannot be withdrawn as money;
• cannot normally be transferred to another server or account.

If the subscription becomes inactive, the remaining balance is frozen until an active subscription is restored.

6. Character top-ups

A one-time top-up costs $3.99 USD and adds 200,000 characters to the selected Discord server.

An active subscription is required to buy and use a top-up. A top-up does not extend the monthly subscription period.

7. Cancellation and renewal

You can cancel through the Stripe customer portal available from the AutoTranslatorEN dashboard.

Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Access continues until that date unless the subscription is otherwise suspended or terminated.

There is no cancellation fee.

Where Stripe permits it, a subscription scheduled to cancel may be resumed before the end of the current billing period.

8. Immediate performance

At checkout, you may request the subscription service or character top-up to be supplied immediately rather than waiting for the statutory cancellation period to end.

If you then exercise a legal right to cancel, any refund may be reduced by a proportionate amount for service already supplied or credits already used, where permitted by law.

9. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry the payment and send payment-failure notifications.

Bot access may stop when the Stripe subscription is no longer active. Remaining characters stay recorded but cannot be used until access becomes active again.

10. Server ownership changes

Stripe billing information remains tied to the Discord account that purchased the subscription.

A new Discord server owner cannot access the previous owner's Stripe customer portal or buy top-ups using the previous owner's billing account.

Contact support if ownership of a subscribed Discord server changes.

11. Acceptable use

You must not use AutoTranslatorEN to:

• break the law, Discord's rules or third-party rights;
• distribute malware, scams, threats, harassment or illegal content;
• evade filters, rate limits, bans or access controls;
• interfere with, probe, reverse engineer or overload the service, except where the law expressly permits;
• resell or transfer access without written permission;
• submit content that you do not have the right to process or share.

12. Suspension and termination

We may block messages, suspend bot access or terminate the service where reasonably necessary to address:

• abuse or illegal use;
• security risks;
• non-payment;
• legal requirements;
• a serious or repeated breach of these Terms.

Where reasonable, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact support.

13. Third-party services

AutoTranslatorEN depends on services provided by Discord, Stripe, Microsoft Azure and hosting or network providers.

Outages, restrictions or policy changes affecting those providers may temporarily or permanently affect parts of AutoTranslatorEN.

14. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We may maintain, update, replace or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, compatibility or legal compliance.

Material changes affecting an active paid service will be communicated where required.

15. Translation accuracy

Machine translations may contain mistakes, omit context or misunderstand slang, humour, names or specialist language.

Server members remain responsible for checking important information and for the messages they submit.

16. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for:

• fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
• death or personal injury caused by negligence;
• any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to those protections, AutoTranslatorEN is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, losses caused by misuse, or decisions made in reliance on a machine translation.

Include a clear description of the issue, the affected Discord server ID and any relevant Stripe receipt or invoice reference.

Do not send card details, passwords, recovery codes, API keys or bot tokens.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the law, security requirements, third-party services or AutoTranslatorEN.

The latest version and its update date will remain available on this page. Material changes affecting an active paid subscription will be communicated where required.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Consumers living elsewhere in the United Kingdom retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable law.
